Questions parents ask

Ages, kits, class times, special needs, fees and more. Still unsure? WhatsApp us and we will reply.

What age can my child start?

From age 4. Robinuo Explorer is for ages 4 to 7, Builder for 7 to 9, Innovator for 9 to 10 and Curo AI for 10 to 13. Scratch starts from 7, Arduino from 11 and Python from 13. Ages are a guide, and kids with experience can start at a higher level.

My child has never done coding or robotics. Is that OK?

Yes. Most of our students start with no experience. The free trial class shows the coach where your child should begin.

Do you teach AI to kids?

Yes. Curo AI (ages 10 to 13) teaches the basic ideas behind AI alongside robotics and coding, and our Python programme includes AI projects for teens. AI basics are joining the Malaysian primary school syllabus from 2027, so this gives kids a head start.

Do I need to buy a laptop or a robotics kit?

For the robotics levels and Scratch, we provide the materials used in class. Some levels need a robotics kit, which is paid separately (T&C apply).

For Arduino and Python, students bring their own laptop and buy a starter kit if they need one. We'll tell you exactly what's needed before you sign up.

How long does each level take?

Each robotics level takes about 6 months to a year, depending on your child's pace. Arduino is a 1-year programme with a project every month and a Final Year Project. Python is 48 to 50 one-hour classes a year with a project every month.

When are classes held?

Weekday evenings and weekends, so classes fit as an after-school activity. Free trial classes run on Saturdays and Sundays. WhatsApp us for the current timetable for your child's level.

Do you take children with speech delay, ADHD or autism?

Yes. Our coaches have experience teaching children with speech delay, ADHD and autism. Small classes of up to six kids help a lot.

Progress works best as a partnership. We'll share what we see in class each month, and we ask parents to support the same habits and practice at home. Let us know about your child's needs before the trial so the coach can prepare.

How many kids are in a class?

No more than six kids per coach, so every child gets real attention.

How will I know how my child is doing?

You get a progress update from your child's coach every month: what they learned, what they built and what's next.

Is Python separate from robotics?

Yes. Python and Scratch are standalone coding programmes with no robotics. Many parents prefer to keep coding and robotics separate, so you can choose either one, or both.

Do you have classes for adults?

We're developing an adult programme for beginners in coding, AI tools and Arduino. WhatsApp us to join the waitlist and tell us what you'd like to learn.

How much are the fees?

Fees depend on the programme and level. WhatsApp us at 011-3312 6359 or email admin@robinuo.com and we'll share the current fees and schedule for your child.
